From The Creator and Editor

" a few words about the concepts behind the series story-line"

There is a dose of human reality captured and created in the " I Gorilla reality series" The real life of  a commercial actress;

and the story line is uniquqly and truthfully crafted by Keller.

These reality short films are  produced and filmed Guerrilla Style; and capture unique real and true emotions of the

actors as they are hearded into casting rooms, numbered, prossesed, directed to perform sometimes rediculous actions.

Keller states the reality video concepts  give a rare glimpse into what it takes to get

steady work in Hollywood and as a commercial actress or other .

Kellers research found that often the piblic is unaware and likes to believe that a star in a new hit series

or commercial was an overnight success.  Although there have been some success stories of that nature,

reality is farther from the truth for most actors.  Many of them are under the illusion that show business

is an ultra-glamorous life when in reality it is not for most of them and that actors have a grueling daily schedule.

The majority of time, “every hour God sends,”is spent in grueling competition against feirce

numbers of participants all trying out for the same job; and in what can only look and apear to seem

like a circus act; and hence helped Keller format  and create the reality series "i Guerrilla"

Secondly to consider in the day of the life (of the circus act) of such a commercial actor; one has to be lucky enough in

"looking the part" needed for the job and in being called to the audtion; where often "thousands of actors wait to be seen by the producers or casting agancies. You are given a slate number. Then you must count the unpaid hours spent in preparation for the auditions, lines and sides studied, and rehearessed; and all in order to get work on one job or commercial.

Imagine for a minute going to your job for 5 hours working and not getting paid for those hours in your day.

A real life actor endures time not paid in areas like; fittings, call backs, time away from other jobs  and in  being put on avail for upcoming work all of which is generally not paid time on the clockActors are not paid for there time in going to call backs,  managing outfits for each audition or call back.  One must have an art and skill in the organizing and management of which props, jewelery, hair and make up  were used at each audition, not to mention the outfit or theme that was used and worn (possibly two weeks ago ) and must be re-used once called back for a second viewing for a job; and after

producers have narrowed there searches. The reality is some days you  may have up

to 4 or 5 auditions or  call backs in a day and let's not forget about that traffic you sit in unpiad for hours.

It is very likely and possible that each audtion could and does hold up your time frame unpiad for up to 5 hours a day.

iGuerrilla also shows some reality of how these actors are treated and expected to act in many casting calls

and specifically for commercial prossesing work and largely what circus animals must also feel on any given day .

Directors Final  Notes:

I have worked in this industry a long time and talked to many actors  who all state the same content; it is very hard succumbing to the pain of rejection, which is much of what the grueling road to success in this field is about. .Actors are horribly and sabotagingly overextended on any given day.  There is a tremendous amount of work actors are expected to memorize two or three scenes per audition, and sometimes go in on two or three auditions in a day. A casting director of several successful series told me that most actors aren't given the entire script which they are auditioning, just the scenes they are using in the audition, known as “sides." Therefore, they can’t really create an appropriate character: "They get the material at the last minute, they don't prepare enough, they read as some version of who they are, and they leave.” “When it is last minute, it impacts preparation.  The life of an actor is, ironically so strained and grueling that it doesn’t afford actors the opportunity to be cast in the show best suited to them. Being an actor, especially when you’re just starting out and have to support yourself with outside work, is really tough, and trying to get a regular part on a TV series during pilot season is the toughest thing an actor can do.

So next time you when you watch a funny or great commercial, new show or a movie and there is someone on it whose performance you like, I hope you’ll respect them a bit more now knowing what they went through to get that job.

Thank you...

Featuring "i Guerrilla"Video Realityproductions

For anyone who isn’t familiar with the term, “Guerrilla” shooting essentially means shooting your film in public "non- suspiciously"

there are some very notable examples of films shot entirely in this fasion. One of the most famous examples is the Oscar winning masterpiece “The French Connection” which was shot in New York City with a sizeable crew. Another recent example was the film titled “Escape From Tomorrow” which was amazingly shot inside of Disney World .

Pretty amazing for a feature film with many shooting days!
